This is a very shocking story. Some people hope that it’s a prank, well it’s not. It’s real.

A 6 year old boy explored his way into a handmade flying saucer full of helium. It got loose and now he’s floating around in the Denver area. Hopefully the child is okay. Authorities are following him, along with news crews getting live footage of the saucer in flight.

Update: Craft landed, no boy has been found.

Update #2: Wow, so the boy was at home the whole time – hiding in a box in the attic. For one, I would like to know the whole REAL story. Why did his brother say he flew off with the balloon? Why did the boy stay hidden for 2-3 hours?

There were quite a few people that were tracking the balloon for two hours until it touched down. They followed an empty balloon for 50 miles! That’s a lot of money going towards their time and gas spent. Not only that – It took quite a bit of money to pay for the helicopters that were following the empty balloon as well. Personally, I am quite disturbed at this whole story. I am happy the boy is alright – things could have been a lot worse, but our state is in no condition to waste thousands of dollars chasing an empty balloon. Many tax payers are furious over this.

This boy had the world at his fingertips: was this a publicity stunt?
